German film filmmaker and acclaimed horror Director Daniel Stamm (Prey for the Devil, the Last Exorcism) shot Winthrop, starring Carla Gugino (The Fall of the House of Usher) and Lou Taylor Pucci (You), in Vancouver BC, during the summer of 2025.

Winthrop is adapted by Emmy-winning playwright Justin Yoffe from the cult podcast Knifepoint Horror and the episode The Lockbox by writer, creator and narrator Soren Narnia.

Produced by Kearie Peak for Peak Pictures, alongside Capstone Studios. AURA Entertainment will handle the flick’s U.S. theatrical release, with MGM+ handle its subsequent streaming and linear debut.
